Yeah, I’m still alive. I didn’t realise it was bloody impossible to balance a full-time job and a semi-full-time beauty blog and then, this lip blog too! But enough whining and let’s take a look at nutrimetics nc Lip Lightning Lip Gloss in Bronze.
It’s quite special because it comes with a light built inside the lid and a mirror on the side of the tube. But who the heck applies their lip gloss in the dark? No, not me! Yes, the mirror is helpful…but sadly, it is verging on tacky.
Apart from that, the nutrimetics nc Lip Lightning Lip Gloss in Bronze itself is quite lovely. Fruity and not overly sticky. As you can see from my swatch, it’s not very bronze; but instead it’s a very sheer natural shade with plenty of microshimmer. If I’m looking for an au naturale lip with a little zing, I will reach for this baby.

What do you think? Does nutrimetics nc Lip Lightning Lip Gloss in Bronze tickle your fancy? Is it necessary to have an in-built light and mirror on lip glosses??
FACE OF AUSTRALIA is probably my favourite Australian drugstore brand. I love the FOA make-up remover and FOA HD eyeliner and of course, their funky nail polish collections! And now, I have developed a sweet love for their new limited edition FACE OF AUSTRALIA Sheer Gloss Lip Crayons. This trio only costs $15!! It is exactly what it says it is – a sheer gloss lip crayon. No sharpening is required as they wind up from the bottom.
There are 3 everyday colours with the cutest names – Macaron (sheer red), Cupcake (sheer cool pink) and Sundae (sheer caramel). Please note that my swatches are on the heavier side as they are more sheer in real life.
I’ve read reviews that the FOA Sheer Gloss Lip Crayons are a similar but glossier and shorter version of Clinique Chubby Sticks. I wouldn’t know because I cannot justify paying what we pay in Australia for Clinique Chubby Sticks – $35 AUD!! :P
Anyway, I’m pretty happy with these cute little wonders. The only thing I don’t like is that they are limited edition – noooo! And also, I kinda have to reapply quite often because it doesn’t last very long on my lips with my constant tea-drinking and snack-munching antics.
Enough rambling and let’s get some lip shots in action…
FACE OF AUSTRALIA Sheer Gloss Lip Crayon in Macaron
Yeah, Macaron is my favourite shade of the trio. It makes my lips look plump and juicy.
FACE OF AUSTRALIA Sheer Gloss Lip Crayon in Cupcake
Cupcake is a cool-toned sheer pink which I like to wear under lipstick as a lip priming base. Speaking of cupcakes, I could so eat one right now…!
FACE OF AUSTRALIA Sheer Gloss Lip Crayon in Sundae
The neutral work-safe shade is Sundae - and it’s like MLBB – My Lips But Better. Oh yeah!
What do you think of the FACE OF AUSTRALIA Sheer Gloss Lip Crayon trio set? I think it’s a winner!
If you have been following Lip Stalker since the beginning, you will have read Part 1 and Part 2 of the Urban Decay Pocket Rocket Lip Gloss Collection. Today is the final instalment showcasing Julio, Max and Kirk.
As I mentioned previously, I have a lot of love for the Urban Decay Pocket Rocket Lip Gloss Collection. It has been a pleasure to swatch and all the colours are spectacular in their own way. And I’ve got to mention the *blush* factor from the fit men in various states of undress from the raunchy packaging. The burnt caramel smell is also a delight to smell.
Urban Decay Pocket Rocket Lip Gloss Swatches
Urban Decay Pocket Rocket Lip Gloss – Julio
Julio is a clear gloss with ivory microshimmer. Great on its own or on top of a lipstick.
Urban Decay Pocket Rocket Lip Gloss – Max
Max is a beige caramel shade, which looks great swatched on my arm, but my lips didn’t do it justice when it was heavily applied. But when blotted, Max blends in much better. This would have to be my least favourite out of such a successful collection.
Urban Decay Pocket Rocket Lip Gloss – Kirk
Kirk is a sheer honey shade which genuinely surprised me because I didn’t quite fancy it till I swatched it on my lips.

Nude by Nature have created a winning trio of natural mineral lip glosses which do not have any petrochemicals, parabens, nasty ingredients and they don’t support animal testing. The Pure Pout trio pack comes with Naked Kiss, Pure Plum and Virgin Blush – a couple of risqué names there!
To be honest, the plain brown packaging with the air bubbles in the formula do not scream “Buy me!” However, one thing I have learnt, as a beauty junkie, is that it’s not the packaging, but it’s what is inside that counts. And Nude by Nature have certainly delivered with these non-sticky, very shiny lip glosses which instantly fills in any lip lines and hides flakies. It’s slighty scented with a coffee mint smell…but then again, I don’t trust my nasal interpretations. It’s not my favourite scent but I don’t dislike it. More props for the hygienic slanted tip applicator!
Nude By Nature Pure Pout Natural Mineral Lip Trio Swatches
Naked Kiss is a peachy shimmer, Pure Plum is a plummy shimmer and Virgin Blush is a browny shimmer (which looks better on lips than on my arm!).
Pout ‘n’ Pose
My favourite amongst the trio is Naked Kiss because it makes my lips look kiss-able! Which one is your favourite out of the Nude By Nature trio?
NC stands for Natural Compatibles – an Australian cosmetics brand, which focusses on colours which enhance the face. There are 5 shades in the NC Lip Gloss range which boasts natural apricot oil and vitamin E in their formulation to help soften and nourish lips.
Sunset is a rustic copper shade with a bit of shimmy shimmer.
Lip Gloss Swatch
Pout ‘n’ Pose
To be honest, the packaging does not scream buy me – it’s something which would definitely not catch my eye in shops. Rustic copper shades are normally reserved for my nails and not my lips, so again, it would not feature on my wishlist. However (and this is a big however), I was pleasantly surprised at how good this shade looks on my lips and against my skin tone. The formulation is good being scentless and tasteless. The applicator is of the doe foot variety and the gloss glides on and is not crazy sticky. It’s a grower! I am definitely growing to like it more and more.
Are you a copper lips kinda gal?
The Urban Decay Pocket Rocket Lip Gloss Collection consists of 10 shades. Last week, I showed you the 3 red-based shades and today, I am going to show you the pink/purple shades which are James, David, Doug and Jesse.
Urban Decay Pocket Rocket Lip Glosses are specially packaged with fit muscular half-naked men on the holographic caps. It’s worth buying just to ogle their 6-packs!! And the lip gloss delivers too – with their non-sticky and ultra-glossy formula.

James is a sheer neon pink which helps create the illusion of beestung lips.
Urban Decay Pocket Rocket Lip Gloss Swatch – David
David is a fandango pink when swatched but transforms into bubblegum pink on the lips and fills in lips wrinkles.
Urban Decay Pocket Rocket Lip Gloss Doug
Doug should be renamed Elton because of its glitz!
Urban Decay Pocket Rocket Lip Gloss – Jesses
Jesse looks brown in its packaging but when swatched, it’s revealed to be a plummy purple.

The Urban Decay Pocket Rocket Lip Gloss Collection consists of 10 shades – 3 are red-based shades, 4 are pink/purple, 2 are caramel and 1 clear. I have the entire collection to swatch for you, but I have split them up into three parts. Introducing Part 1 which consists of the red-based shades – Colin, Eric and Timothy.
Lip Stalker has a lot of love for these lip glosses. These are the raunchiest cosmetic products I own because its holographic caps reveal half-naked fit men with biceps and 6-packs. Brush applicator with great glossy shades to flatter everyone and a simply delicious burnt caramel popcorn scent that I cannot stop sniffing at every opportunity. Formula is light, hides flakies and non-sticky, but it also means that there is a need for frequent reapplication.
