FACE OF AUSTRALIA is probably my favourite Australian drugstore brand. I love the FOA make-up remover and FOA HD eyeliner and of course, their funky nail polish collections! And now, I have developed a sweet love for their new limited edition FACE OF AUSTRALIA Sheer Gloss Lip Crayons. This trio only costs $15!! It is exactly what it says it is – a sheer gloss lip crayon. No sharpening is required as they wind up from the bottom.
There are 3 everyday colours with the cutest names – Macaron (sheer red), Cupcake (sheer cool pink) and Sundae (sheer caramel). Please note that my swatches are on the heavier side as they are more sheer in real life.
I’ve read reviews that the FOA Sheer Gloss Lip Crayons are a similar but glossier and shorter version of Clinique Chubby Sticks. I wouldn’t know because I cannot justify paying what we pay in Australia for Clinique Chubby Sticks – $35 AUD!!
Anyway, I’m pretty happy with these cute little wonders. The only thing I don’t like is that they are limited edition – noooo! And also, I kinda have to reapply quite often because it doesn’t last very long on my lips with my constant tea-drinking and snack-munching antics.
Enough rambling and let’s get some lip shots in action…
FACE OF AUSTRALIA Sheer Gloss Lip Crayon in Macaron
Yeah, Macaron is my favourite shade of the trio. It makes my lips look plump and juicy.
FACE OF AUSTRALIA Sheer Gloss Lip Crayon in Cupcake
Cupcake is a cool-toned sheer pink which I like to wear under lipstick as a lip priming base. Speaking of cupcakes, I could so eat one right now…!
FACE OF AUSTRALIA Sheer Gloss Lip Crayon in Sundae
The neutral work-safe shade is Sundae - and it’s like MLBB – My Lips But Better. Oh yeah!
What do you think of the FACE OF AUSTRALIA Sheer Gloss Lip Crayon trio set? I think it’s a winner!
Every woman needs a bold red lipstick. Here’s one which may tickle your fancy – Sisley Hydrating Long Lasting Lipstick in Rouge Passion L33 (RRP : $62AUD in David Jones)
Encased in a gold coloured case, it screams luxe. But then again, I would expect nothing less from Sisley. There is a bold S engraved onto the lid – both front and back. Just running my finger around the lettering gets me high. (I am a beauty blogger so things like that make me very happy!)
S is for Sisley. S is for Sexy. S is for Sultry. S is for Successful. Yes, wearing the Sisley Hydrating Long Lasting Lipstick in Rouge Passion L33 makes me feel Sexy with my Sultry red lips which makes me feel like a strong Successful young woman, thank you very much!
And S is also for Swatch! Here’s the swatch of L33 Rouge Passion on my NC-30 skin. It is a classic blue red which means that it will make your teeth appear whiter.
Some things I need to advise you about Sisley Hydrating Long Lasting Lipstick in L33 Rouge Passion :-
You will not want to use it because you will not want to ruin the famous gold spiral bullet stamped with the Sisley logo! (I admired it for weeks!!!)
Direct application is slightly tricky with such a strong bold colour so use your lipstick brush or even dab on with fingers for a softer look
It lives up to its name of being long lasting!! And then it slowly fades into a pretty berry stain.
You will get compliments and you will get asked what lipstick you are wearing! Guaranteed!
I’ve been a very naughty gal! It’s been 4 months since my last lip art video tutorial! >_< Thank you to all my new YouTube subscribers and all the messages encouraging me to do another video. I promise to try my best…but I have realised that I kinda suck at lip art…and I don’t have the skills or the materials to take my lip art to the next level. But ah well…I can only try my best.
Anyway, today’s lip art is dedicated to you all!! It sounds so cheesy and corny but I appreciate the love that you have all shown me! Enjoy!
>_< It’s been a while…mucho apologies!!! But we’re back today and we are lip stalking Isabell Soo :-
Isabell says :
I’m wearing NYX Round Lipgloss in Apricot on top of Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in 750 Kiss Me Coral.
Of all the cheap lip-glosses I’ve owned, NYX is my fave! NON-STICKY AT ALL!!
And this Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in 750 Kiss Me Coral is my fave red lipstick because it leans more towards to the coral side. It complements my yellow skin tone more than some of those bluish red out there. But of course, a bold colour like this needs some caution when applying and some confidence to flaunt it off.
Wowee! Amazing combination!!! Love the lips and the flawless skin, Isabell!!
When Lancôme Rouge In Love Lipstick 353M Rose Pitimini landed on my desk, I fell in love immediately.
I am not a stranger to the brand Lancôme as I have dabbled with their skincare, eye make-up and Juicy Tubes in the past, but I’m relatively new to their lipsticks. My only other Lancome lippy is from the Rouge L’Absolu Nu collection and it is L-O-V-E. This newbie to my lipstick collection is no exception.
I already fell in love with the Lancôme Rouge In Love Lipstick collection when Emma Watson appeared in the ad. If you haven’t seen it, where have you been?? Click here. Now!
If you have been a long-time reader of Lip Stalker, you will know by now that I’m rather stingy with my photos. I usually do 3 photos – one of the lipstick, one of the swatch on my arm and one on my lips. Not today, my friend! Not today!!
The packaging will definitely appeal to the girls who are looking for something trendy but luxe. The silver casing with Rouge In Love emblazoned on it is a winner. Best of all, I’ve been playing with it all morning but it doesn’t attract fingerprints. Call me weird, but I love running my fingers round the Lancôme engraving on the bottom rim of the lipstick.
Moving onto the shade 353M Rose Pitimini… it may not be the one that Emma Watson is wearing in the ad but it’s beautiful too. It’s a soft rose colour which applies rather sheer with one swipe; but the colour is buildable. As it is an M shade, it’s categorised as a “Jolis Matins” shade – “subtle and soft brilliance, due to the precious mother‑of‑pearls”.
Lipstick Swatch : Lancôme Rouge In Love 353M Rose Pitimini
As soon as I applied it on my lips, the rose scent and formula gave me deja-vu because it reminded me so much of Lancome’s Rouge L’Absolu Nu. One word – lipgasm! It keeps my lips moisturised and lasts for around 3-4 hours before I reapply.
Pout ‘n’ Pose
Lancome Rouge In Love Collection is released in Australia at the end of March.
